With Disney reviving the IP and an apparent new Caspermania is on the way, should we start buying copies of the Casper games?
Are any of them good? I remember playing this one as a kid and not knowing what to do

As far as Casper vidya go, the Japan exclusive Super Famicom game is the better one.
PS1 and US SNES games are visually nice but not fun to play. I do like the Clock Tower-esque art direction of the US SNES one though

the US game was made by Imagineering, of course it looks great but is shit to play in true Westjank fashion

>the Japan exclusive Super Famicom game is the better one
it also has a battery save while the US one does not
>>
I find the art direction on the US Casper quite awful compared to the SFC one and of course it has the obligatory "super realistic" MC sprite.

Yet published by Natsume of all people, i read they also published the japanese one there but i dont think so....

>look it up

Nope, no they didnt, the KSS looks just average but might have some charm to it, but it looks like you need to play it while watching a walktrough.

i mean, it's supposed to be a movie tie-in of sorts

>Are any of them good?
Can only speak for PS1 ones
>the puzzle one
It's basically Hexen 1 but without combat. Press a thing to uncover a thing in current room or unlock something elsewhere. Gather picture pieces to unlock abilities (only 3 of them are commonly used, rest are just a one-time check for their matching uncle encounters), gather colored keys to unlock more rooms. I like the aesthetics but 80% of the gameplay are loading times (either Casper morphing into something or moving between rooms) and the game barely tries to tell the story of the movie (there are like 4 cutscenes in the game and zero plot-relevant text).
>the platformer one
Ehhh, it's okay 2D platformer for a licensed IP, worth one playthrough in your lifetime if you've played every other PS1 2D platformer by now.
>>
I remember renting the SNES game for the movie. It was hard but I enjoyed it for what iwt was, a weekend rental that I couldn't get very far in

The 90s Casper movie was better than it had any right to be. I wonder why they didn't make a sequel that wasn't some Direct to video garbage.

Why would anyone be concerned about the ghosts when Christina Ricci’s forehead is the scariest thing in the movie?
>>
/tv/fags are the worst. so bitter at their irrelevancy.
