What's the best light gun game?
>>
Yoshi Safari

Especially 2 player where you have a driver and gunner

I'm pretty sure very few would pick this, but I love Sports Shooting USA. This was the last light gun machine in my area before a lot of the old arcades and pizza buffets closed down (barring the odd Buck Hunter or whatever). My younger brother told me they apparently had it as part of an in-school arcade a few years after I graduated (post Columbine and 9/11, but a rural area). Thought that was bizarre. Both having an arcade and a light gun game.

I'd probably go with Lethal Enforcers 2 for something a bit wackier. Another one I really like is Silent Scope, but it's unfortunately not something you can easily approximate at home unless you're a tinkerer.

I always loved the Jurassic Park one from back in the day

The Lost World and/or Ocean Hunter*.

Another good one, though like Ocean Hunter, its debatable if its a true light gun game since the "guns" are stationary joysticks.

Crisis Zone /thread

Also is there any other light gun game where you hold a two handed automatic weapon? I can't think of any.

It’s obviously Point Blank.
Many mini games that are interesting and various difficulty levels.
The problem with most lightgun style games is they are essentially on rails and are the same thing every time you play them.

Nice! Now I also remember there's Aliens Extermination but it sadly has no recoil which makes Crisis Zone so satisfying. Does Ghost Squad have recoil?

Mine would have to be Cobra the Arcade, but it's doomed to obscurity because it's an anime game. A very good, time crisis style anime game, but an anime game nonetheless. I'm fully convinced that I played the only english cab in existence.

Lupin the 3rd the shooting is a fun one too, has a nice variety of action and mini games

>>12542835
The few ghost squad cabs I played had recoil.
Razing Storm is another game to check out if you haven't already played it, pretty much Crisis Zone's spiritual successor
