>Mario Kart in 2003>only 16 tracks>zero tracks from previous games, unlike MK:SCWhy?
Because you touch yourself at night
>>12542521>MK:SCit just stole a bunch of maps from super mario kart and they all sucked
>>12542521Is this your new obsession nοw? Mario Kart?
>>12542521Still the best retro Mario Kart
>>12544447Yup.
>>12542521Ah yes, that time ign gave it like a 7.6 but had to retract it because of backlash. Anyway MK64 is the goat this crap was an awful follow up.
>>12542521Nintendo had no idea what the fuck it was doing during the GameCube era. Going from Mario Kart 64 to Double Dash and Super Mario 64 to Sunshine was like having your steak dinner taken away and replaced with a plate of cold dog shit. Same goes for franchises like Zelda, Wave Race and Star Fox.
>>12544626I agree with everything but Mario Kart's case, Mario Kart, F Zero and Smash were the only Nintendo series that got straight upgrades from N64 to GameCube, MK64 controls like fucking shit compared to DD which feels like the game every modern MK is based on.
Is double dash still the only mario kart game with a grand prix that's just all the tracks in the game back to back? I don't know why they never did that again, that's always how I replayed double dash.
double dash is the first good mario kart. only lobotomites like the shitty 2d games or still pretend 64 is good
>>12542521MK64 didn't have classic tracks either. it was originally a handheld MK thing because it allowed them to pad out the roster of tracks. the first home console one to have classic tracks was Wii.
>>12545332It also helps that the SMK tracks are just a perfect fit for how SC renders shit, to the point that the tracks are all ported almost entirely 1:1
>>12542526MacFartlane
>>12542521Had more tracks than Kirby Air Ride and weird freaks will still try and convince you that was better.
>>12544638I disagree with both of you. Plenty of Gamecube games are great but to me Double Dash was always weird. I don't like how it feels to make turns in that game at all and the drifting is odd too with how you have to mash the stick left and right. It all feels imprecise and just off. MK64 feels more natural and Wii and everything after it feels a whole lot better too.
