Another member of the overly expensive late NES Taito games group and holy shit, this game is way too hard. Also they didn't need to include the Great Gazoo in it, they really really didn't.

>>12543267Japan never liked the Flintstones much, at least not the original series. They actually liked The Pebbles and Bam Bam Show more.

>>12543267This game was an in-house job but the Jetsons was outsourced to Natsume.
>>12543329the Famicom release was afaik the last one to use a Taito mapper/cartridge (Taito TC0690, mostly very similar to MMC3), the remaining Famicom games they put out used Nintendo carts
>>12543267This has some of the worst ice stages ever designed. Virtually uncontrollable.
I haven't played the NES Flintstones games, I did briefly sample the SNES ones on emulation. The Taito one seemed pretty fun for the 10 or so minutes I tried it out, the Flintstones movie game (made by a Eurodev, of course) was more "look at the cool hyper-realistic graphics but who cares about making it fun to play, right?" antics.
>>12543267Only eight stages but they made sure they were as hard as possible.
>filtered by the Flintstones on NESgrandpa is disappoint
>>12543267It has a lot of flaws still if it was made by Ocean or Radical Entertainment it could have been far worse.
afaik Dinosaur Peak was a rental only title and not sold as a retail release
>>12543274Yeah, they were Jetsonschads instead.
thanks famibot
>>12543327Yes.
>>12543267the last decade when the Flintstones was still culturally relevant
Ok it's not actually the same game but it's a Flintstones game.
>>12543267>Also they didn't need to include the Great Gazoo in it, they really really didn't.Dum-dum...
>>12543296>Tranny Smith made it the fuck out.

>>12543267Your threads are useful but I wish you wouldn't write in this annoying above-it-all "this brief dismissive blurb is the last word on this topic" Redditor voice

>>12543723To be honest I was only there to get directions on how to get away from there.
>>12543581Better than the NES games
>>12543459What changed in culture?
>>12543985Not him, but reruns were keeping these shows culturally relevant. Another example would be Gilligan's Island
>>12543985They packed it in when Jean Vanderpyle died.
>>12543404I'm pretty sure this was confirmed as a false rumour as someone had a receipt of a copy he bought. The thing is, when you have a late low print NES release, the majority of sales would have been rental places. There were so many rental shops in the US that they by themselves pretty much justified low prints.
>>12543985Same reason other decades-old shows, cartoons, and serials stopped being relevant: they stopped rerunning it once we entered the era of mass cable TV adoption. New shows made for and designed to appeal to contemporary audiences got way better ratings, so the old stuff fell by the wayside, first relegated to late-night or early-morning slots, then dropped altogether.
>>12543343You are a bad gamer.
>>12543406BasedThe Jetsons is better
>>12544479>New shows made for and designed to appeal to contemporary audiencesYeah, Flintstones is too racist, sexist and antisemite honestly. I'm glad we stopped liking that literal cavemen cartoon
>>12544402I wish I ever bought used games from rental stores, they had boxed NES games, however at the time I wasn't really touching mine.
>>12543267I beat this as a rental. Maybe you need to stick to your 3rd person action/adventure with rpg elements, crafting, collectithon zoomer games.
