>>12544053we got this one
(probably not)
in b4 we need to find the NES game about the indian
Chrono Trigger Extended Edition including all the assets that didn't make into the final cut when?I know games change a lot during development, but there are so many high effort things that completely vanished from the final version, and considering Chrono Trigger is a 4MB game (about the max size a game could be at the time), I can't help but imagine that some of those scenarios didn't make into the game because of hardware limitations.
>>12544434Same situation with Phantasy Star IV on the Genesis. 3MB was the biggest Genesis game when it released but it was originally planned for the Sega CD and probably would have had a lot more content, more comic style panels, animated video, etc.

>>12544053in no reality would the textures have been that good
>>12544396is this art by Katsuya Terada? looks like his work but I can't find a definitive answer
>>12544434That would be the one reason I'd accept a remake - they actually get the surviving members of the dream team together to give up a version of the game they envisioned, unshackled by cartridge limitions.
>>12545710>Kato: What's that? MORE unnecessary retcons to advertise Chono Cross? Fuck, who haven't we killed yet... ok, Chrono's Mom and and the cat get eaten by the time portal and that creates the Panther Creature that attacks Serge as a baby!
>>12545704Probably, the only other artist I know that drew in that semi-real style back in those days is Akihiro Yamada and but they color more flatly.
