Are the hoverboard sections mandatory? Because I REALLY do not like controlling that piece of shit. I don't know how to feel about this game in general. I really liked the first one and so far the 2nd one has been just a shitty GTA with shitty driving and shooting (and the hoverboard being a shitty Tony Hawk).
>>12544007Kinda, yeah. However there are a few you can cheese. Like the one in the harbor where you have to destroy the mines (jet board isn't required, just use a zoomer). The controls for it are improved quite a bit in the 3rd game. Honestly the most egregious thing in the second game for me is just how much fucking RACING you do in a damn action platformer. Every other mission is either a flat out race, or a time trial of some sort.
>>12544250>The controls for it are improved quite a bit in the 3rd game. Are they that much better? Because I'm seriously considering dropping 2 and going for 3

>>12545718They are a but but 3 is filled to the brim with lame car missions in a desert. I prefer 2 overall. Genuinely if you drop them both still try X, it's a really fun racer.
>>12544007You might as well stop playing now. Jak II and even more so III are the worst kind of GTA Tony Hawk vehicle racing slop you can imagine.People loved it at the time because you got all of the trendy play styles in a single game, but II and III have objectively aged like dog shit. I hear the PSP games are a little more focused though.
6th gen platformers aren't good
