Out of curiosity, am I doing something wrong or does Edge just fucking suck in FF4 SNES?Despite having the best possible weapons for him equipped, he does barely a third the damage that Kain and Cecil do. His only real strength seems to be Throw, but that's limited by how many weapons you have in your inventory.
Edge makes up for his lack of strength by also being really frail.

>>12544262That's the biggest issue I have with FFIV. In the final battle you can't use Rydia, and Edge will get to throw a few shurikens before inevitably dying. He's just a weak character.

His strength comes from his variety of equipment he can use to smack weaknesses (like Charm claw for Giants, Elemental Claws for various dragons, Mute knife for Mages, etc). otherwise, you can slap the Fullmoon on him and keep him in the back row with the girls.
FF4 is super easy once you learn that every boss can be affected by the Slow spell.

>>12544346Unfortunately I kind of have to agree, Rydia and Edge are too fragile at normal levels - even with a ton of grinding they don't get enough HP to survive True Zeromus (japanese ff4) but Zeromus is a much more simple boss and it is really as simple as spamming attack with Cecil and Curaja with Rosa. If Rosa can't do it then it'll just have to be a Cecil solo spamming with Elixirsthe other characters just waste time with their atb and this always ended up being the case in both the wonderswan and ds version
