What retro game has the longest number of animation frames per sprite?I checked SF III's and it seems Rakuga Kids 64 still has a lot more frames per sprite.I'm thinking probably something like Cuphead or some modern KoF game probably has more but what about retro?
If we're talking about modern games it is without a doubt Pizza Tower, I'm pretty sure Peppino has well over 1000 unique frames of animationBut for something more retro...maybe Diablo 2. Perhaps it doesn't count because it's pre-renderes sprites instead of hand animated, but there's an entire set of animations for every armor set for every class, at multiple different angles.
