>Pitstop II
easily the best racer of the 1980s

Invested too much in C64 software and weren't prepared for the market shifting to PC compatibles.

I remember playing Winter Games on a friend's Amstrad CPC.
Biathlon had some of the comfiest graphics on the system.

Weren't they fucked by Atari Lynx and Jack Tramiel's deal that forced them to close the office?
>>
>>12546151
>thrived on C64
>had 145 employees in 1988
>when it came time to move to the next gen they looked at the Amiga or consoles
>They hired a snake oil executive from Amiga
>the exectuive's son wanted a color handheld
>"you should totally build your own handheld game console! I know you are msotly known for making simple games but building a color handheld will be super easy for you!"
>millions in debt
>were unable to get their handheld to market so they approached Atari
>Atari renamed it the lynx
>atari then fucked them over by withholding payments
>company collapsed as all their money was tied up in the lynx which flopped

They could have been the next EA (back when EA was good) and done amazing things in the early 90s if managed right, with a strong focus on sports titles which carried the industry in the west. But they had no business getting into the hardware market.

I know that feel, OP...

The games should have had graphics like the covers instead of what they used in game.
>>
>>12546626
The covers sparked your imagination for the 8 bit game.

that isn't what happened at all, schizophrenic lolcow. it was the lynx that pushed them into bankruptcy. did you forget about that when you were mashing your obese hamfists on your ipad?

worked out well for sega and nintendo. epyx would still be alive today if they weren't fucked in the ass by atari

What the fuck is your problem? Are you mentally ill?

Epyx was a much smaller company than Sega, and most Sega consoles failed.
>nintendo
They were already long in the toy making business before getting into consoles. Epyx started off merely as a two man studio in 78.
>epyx would still be alive today if they weren't fucked in the ass by atari
Nah Epyx fucked themselves in the ass by making the Lynx. It was a really expensive hardware to develop and produce. Big VLSI chips, high capacity RAM, and color LCD. Atari refused to cover their ass when they went bankrupt from making that expensive shit. Gameboy in comparison was made mostly out of cheap off-the-shelf components.

again, epyx would still be around if atari had given epyx their money

so big that you can cover over it with your thumb

>64kb is high capacity
yeah, i'm thinking that you're fucking stupid

no. the lr35902 is a custom made part. wasn't much inside a gameboy, dumbfuck. any more delusional fantasies we can shit on while we're here? you literally make retards cringe

Just look for someone challenging a narrative. At the end of the rainbow you'll find a ridiculous cunt humiliating not only they/them self but the entire species.
>>
>>12548506
Nta, but 64 KB was massive for a handheld at the time. The Game Gear output higher quality graphics and comparable game quality with less than half of that. It was a highly inefficient use of memory.

>when you keep getting btfo by strangers just pretend you're other people
tell us the story about how an fpga is better than a 1000ghz cpu, schizo lolcow
