>>12548078There were three total NES/FC bowling games, this, Dynamite Bowl, and Perfect Bowling. Perfect Bowling was the best of the three. Unfortunately it's not the one they decided to localize.
>>12548085>Perfect Bowling was the best of the three. Unfortunately it's not the one they decided to localize.>localizedAcsually this was meant as a Western exclusive and they decided for some reason to release it in Japan two years later.
>>12548085idk any of them sold well. Japan is not a notable bowling hotbed but Championship Bowling wasn't much of a US hit either and is a pretty rare cartridge. apparently if you had the NES multitap it can support four players.
>yfw Famidaily's video of Championship Bowling>"absolutely no improvements over Dynamite Bowl despite a couple years between the two."No shit, they're both blasted CNROM carts. That was backward when the game came out here in '89 let alone Japan two entire years later so the end result is something that's pretty much like an Atari 7800 game. Perfect Bowling is better because it's an MMC1 game with a much larger ROM.
Is that a racist stereotype? It had better not be.
>>12548078This was a sort of but not really port of Seta's arcade Championship Bowling but that game had cute anime girls in it.

>>12548126I saw his video and he seemed to have no awareness of the NES release of this game and thought it was a Japan exclusive.
>>12548078The developer of this thing was Another, who made several Famicom titles including The Black Bass, their one other game to get a US release. They also made Hoshi o Miru Hito, probably the worst Famicom RPG ever.
