I love Nintendo and Sega so much bros, both companies are peak soul when it came to the golden era of gaming. The best mascots of gaming, the best GAMES in gaming, these 2 companies are titans that revolutionised gaming itself that generations of people will still be appreciating even hundreds if not thousands of years from now. Both deserve your respect.

NES-Genesis-SNES is the holy trinity of video games. It encapsulates a golden era of video games that was never surpassed or matched, video games literally had to change dimensions in order to keep going after the peak.

Playing the devil's advocate here but it is far easier to create a great video game franchise/character that everyone, even your grandparents, recognize when video games were still in their infancy. Like Mario was never meant to be Nintendo's mascot or this icon of gaming. He just happened to became one since Super Mario Bros. was the first good console game on the market.
