What does /vr/ think of Tengai Makyou Zero for Super Famicom?

i don't think about it at all

Battle animations take up most of the game. A true pioneer of the genre.

>only about 5 bosses in the whole game have an attack animation at all
>meanwhile Dragon Quest 3 and 6, Chrono Trigger, Mario RPG, Tales of Phantasia and Star Ocean got away with animations for every single enemy
Are you sure? Doesn't seem like Far East of Eden was trying hard enough.

I really don't like this perspective, it always looks cheap.

Great entry in the one big JRPG series that never took off in the west, not even with fan translations.
I was a fan ever since I was a kid because of Kabuki Klash, but I didn't play the RPGs until recent years.
Zero has great atmosphere and as another anon said an impressive game for 4th gen. One of the best.

It looks great but it's such a bore to play. Combat is boring as fuck, and the story and setting are unmemorable. RTC barely matters. Worst in the series by far.

ALTHOUGH now that I look at the screenshots more I see that at least the upper part of the battle scenes has some very strong backgrounds which counts for a lot
