For me, Symphony Of The Night and Resident Evil 4 both represent the absolute pinnacle of castlekino. That feeling of being completely removed from the modern world, whisked away and fully immersed in a castle so impossibly fantastical that it takes on a dreamlike character. Simply the most pristine form of escapism that popular culture has to offer.
