Another great Sega RPG that people just ignore because it isn't Squaresoft shit. Why are gaymers like this?
>>
most /vr/ users don't even play retro games. they just know the board isn't moderated anymore so they come here to shitpost about nights into dreams or whatever

Another average game that segafags dick ride because it came out for a sega console

you didn't play it

It’s pretty good, I made a thread around a year ago about how I didn’t realize this game had an auto map until the very end; I much preferred it before I knew that, it felt way more challenging trying to map out everything yourself, especially in the later dungeons. I think a lot of people also have trouble getting into the aesthetic, but I thought it was charming, great atmosphere all around. Finding fairies at random was fun, but I could never figure out how to use them properly — not that you’d need to, the game is pretty easy.

It's basically first person Dragon Quest, and an 8-16 bit RPG but with 5th gen graphics. Which is precisely why I love it.

You can make a normal thread instead of starting with rage/console war bait though which is why I'm not going to bump

Sorry you missed out on the Saturn. I hope your bitterness fades some day.

How does it compare to Shining in the Darkness difficulty-wise? Because that game filtered me hard.

Why would a bot post in a Shining the Holy Ark thread???
>>

It's easier than SitD. For one thing, the game has an automap feature right from the start instead of having to use a spell to see where you are.

Does any Shining autist here know where this game fits in the timeline?
>>

It takes place about 10 years before SF3. An NPC who is a kid in this game is a protagonist in SF3.

Imagine posting this when Nintendofags dickride a ton of mediocre snes rpgs and pure unfiltered dogshit like quest 64 just because it was the only rpg on their ocarina of time/goldeneye machine.
>>
>>12554119
It's a ok game. I like it more than Golden Sun that's for sure.

I always feel more connected and involved with games that demand to draw a map versus those which have automaps, but with time I've come to the conclusion that the ideal thing is having an automap, but still occasionally being required to draw a map yourself for a reason or another.

>the game is pretty easy.
I wouldn't call it 'hard' but it's harder than the average 5th gen JRPG. It's pretty much on the same level as an NES Dragon Quest.
>>
>>12554125
pretty much, theres currently a panzer dragoon saga thread up that claims its the greatest rpg of all time. these people are very transparent.

PDS is an S tier JRPG. Cope.
