Sega went overboard trying to complicate things, adding tons of new mechanics,3 fucking dragons that play radically different and that you need to switch consistantly...And the game is way too long it must be awfull to try the 1CCYou unlock the first panzer dragoon when you beat the game and to my surprise despite the ugly (but charming) graphic, the 20 FPS and extremely simplistic mechanics i enjoyed it more than OrtaImo arcade style games are better when they are easy to pick up, with "simplistic" but very strong core gameplay and the depth coming from the level and enemy designFinal fight is the epitome of that, only 2 buttons (jump and punch) and still one of the greatest action game of all time
I enjoyed it on my One X at 4K@60FPS. It's a great game, and most of your opinion is invalid. Pretty much all the "le bad" stuff you mentioned is exactly what made Panzer Dragoon Orta so great and a solid Xbox masterpiece. You just didn't click with its game philosophy because you have zero attention span. It's not that hard to figure out which form to use based on the battle.Grow a pair and stop taking estrogen pills, you fucking looney troon.
Best game in the series. Fuck the Shiturn.
Like mark said "mechanics are a crutch"

The different forms are undercooked. If you don't know what's coming you have to sit in the crappy defensive form most of the time, or you're going to be cycling back to it. Having to cycle through the 3 forms over and over is half the battle of the game. And the forms have an upgrade system, and you need to be in the particular form you want upgrades for when they randomly spawn on the screen. And then of course the forms end up making most of the battles drawn out, because the game has to built the damage around the heaviest damaging form, which you're not going to be in, but that you could be in. It's not the worst game out there, it could've been a lot worse, but it overall fails to deliver with the depth it hoped to add.
>>12555806>Sega went overboard trying to complicate thingsThey knew it was the series swan song. Game series which are on the brink of cancellation or exhaustion and devs make the best out of that last chance to give fans closure and cram as much as possible can give great results.>>12555827>Fuck the Shiturn.Bernie Stolar did his best to kill the series and is the reason why Saga has that ridiculously low print run in the first place
