I like the contrast in age ratings between the UK version and the rest of PAL.
>>
>>12556274
you say "the rest of pal" like there's only two regions that use pal
ntsc is basically just usa and jp, but pal is basically the rest of the world, which covers many other local age rating systems
>>
>>12556285
>pal is basically the rest of the world
>most games where NTSC first and the PAL versions were sloppy ports that almost never worked 1:1
It hurts, bros.

ok it's not just literally usa and jp, but it's also not "all of america and most of asia" either
it's about half of america and frankly fuck all of asia
as for SECAM, the colour encoding is different to PAL, but for the purposes of video games it's the same as PAL (same resolution and framerate as PAL)
>>
>>12556623
>>12557405
actually now that i'm thinking about it (especially regarding SECAM, it could be more complex than these pictures, as i'm now reminded that some places use "PAL-M", which is similar to SECAM in that while it's PAL colour, it's NTSC timings, and it's the timings that matter for games.
we need a chart that separates 525-line 60/1.001Hz timings (standard NTSC) and 625-line, 50Hz timings (standard PAL) rather than just the colour encoding method
