Wario Land because of the amount of secrets and having a goal other than just beating the final boss. It was one of my only GB games and I had it pre-internet, so I got a lot more out of it searching for everything.

Super Mario Land 2 is probably the best Mario Land, but Wario Land 2 is the best Nintendo Game Boy platformer, and maybe their best 2D platformer in general.
