>>12560440Argonaut made the FX chip
>>12560489it seems to be argonauts did the most important job, so anon wasnt completely wrong.
>>12560413No, it is just that a new game got released and so /v/ has a new autistic hyperfixation that will go away in a week.
>>125604402 programmers from Argonaut worked on it, that's it. Hell, Giles Goddard worked on a bunch of other Nintendo games after it too, you don't see anyone saying Mario 64 is an Argonaut game lol.
>>12560652All the games Agronaut made without Nintendo's tardwrangling are only ever brought up when someone needs to dunk on Nintendo, so not really.
>>12560786>a new game got releasedIs that what's going on here? Apparently yes according to Google. But it's just a remake of 64.
It was Argonaut's pitch to make this game, since they made similar ones for home PCs.Argonaut did programming and design. Nintendo did design and characters and story. For instance some bosses were made by Argonaut some by Nintendo. Same with stages.FX chip was made by Sinclair engineers.
>>12560964Wasn't Zero already kinda that?Except with more modern graphics and unbelievably shitty controls furcefully shoving in the U's tablet controller tumor?
Star Fox 2 is better.
>>12561541I like both quite a bit for different reasons. I'm still convinced that SNES's courses are still the best in the series. 64, for however polished it is, has so much waiting around vs frantic gameplay, something that SNES accomplishes in spades. I wish that all of these 64 remakes also included the SNES courses as bonuses or something, as it would be the best of both worlds l, especially with higher framerate.Imo, 2 is the ultimate Star Fox followup and a perfect example of where the series should have gone. The real time map and enemy movement is amazing, even if it sacrifices traditional courses. My only (personal) issue is how the final version makes lock-in charge shots and unlockable vs having it front the outset. I understand it might make the game too easy, but imo it's crazy landing those shots without it - which is why charge shot clearly has lock-on in future games. If Nintendo finally commits to continuing a Star Fox continuity beyond just rebooting 64 over and over, they should do a full-scale remake of 2 where instead of the map, you're actively flying all over the solar system (which would result in more traditional SF experiences as you fight enemies on the way) to counteract against threats in real time. Bring back Fay and Miyu as well.
>>12560376No, this is.
