>perfect fixed hinge
>adjust cpu from "performance" to "on demand" so it doesn't draw 1.4Ghz to play games so you can play gba for 6 hours for example. Ask chatgpt.

Now wait for the seethers and copers crying about this post.
>>
>>12562157
You autism is showing heavily, and since I don't need your whining. I'm not going to rise to it.
If you're having trouble understanding it's simple. A spoiled nin-cum-shit wouldn't fucking get the FACT that the buttons, however unconventionally shaped. Are NOT in fact unusable. They are by design tactile and indexable while fitting in the shell. If your situation doesn't lend itself to comprehending this. Then you are the one who is fucked.
Maybe you're grieving over the dead parents that clearly didn't love you. Or at least had no time for your moronic behaviour. Whatever the case, I have some sympathy. But you WILL not have your way in this one way conversation. I just won't humour you. The buttons work. They feel fine. And the design is working exactly as intended. Your retarded for thinking otherwise. And I won't waste any more time talking to you.
>>
>>12562164
Did they at least fix how washed out the screen is yet? If the hinge meme has been deboonked on the newer batches, the only thing holding me back is how much I prefer the saturation on my 34XXSP.

I assume RG-505 is just not produced/sold anymore so you're mostly getting it from 3rd party resellers in EU? The 405M costs 105€ and normally there isn't a 50% price difference for the same chipset.

I was trying upper and lower case just to see if that was an issue. I have the OG disc so I'll grab the file off of that. Also, I'll upgrade to a bigger card. Is 64GB too much? I have an option between an HP or a Sandisk and was going to go with the Sandisk. I could use an 8GB card if 64GB is too much. I'll probably get to it today. Thanks for your helo and knowledge, Diablo on a handheld would be so much fun. Although I've found that as irritating and annoying it can be sometimes, it's the thrill of the chase, of getting a game to work that I enjoy the most. Even more than actually playing the game lol. Right now I'm trying to get this IRC client to cooperate but I'll get back on diablo.

No, size starts becoming a problem at 256GB IIRC.

The Vita is one of the sexiest handhelds ever made and I’m realizing that a 5.5 inch screen is kind of the perfect sweet spot. I don’t need my 'handhelds' to be cartoonishly huge.

Miyoo Mini Plus-sized version of RG40XXV but comes with a hall effect stick instead and 4GB of RAM instead of 1GB. I don't care if it the battery is mediocre or they need to make it thick in the rear, as long as it is Miyoo Mini Plus-sized. Give me a tiny vertical handheld that can do 3D comfortably, Anbernic

Basically a vertical handheld that is an ultra compact but also somewhat powerful enough for running high-end fifth-gen systems fairly well.

Behold, the fixed version!
>put speakers in front instead of back. as a side-effect it makes the display 4:3
>while it is open, the 4:3 display makes perfect sense considering the content you can play (PSP, PS1, N64). while it is closed, the 3:4 display is much better for Android navigation than 1:1. it's a win-win.
>make it 15% bigger in both dimensions to get some extra space and keep the display roughly the same (3.5in)
>extra space allows you to: add a PSP-style analog stick, add a 3.5mm jack, have a bigger battery
>make a more expensive model that supports SIM cards to finally sell it to the couple of hundred autismos who keep screaming "why are rotate and slide not phones!?"

This is my job application to Anbernic.

I love my retroid pocket 4. I just wish it had grips on the back to hold on to like the rp5. No glass front is nice tho. Nearly a perfect handheld.

It also needs some way to capture controller rumble signals and pass them on to the phone rumble motor, but thats minor.

Anyone else hate playing anything past 5th gen on these things? I keep buying powerful ones thinking I'll play some PS2 games but I just end up back on my laptop hooked up to my big TV instead or just playing on my laptop screen. I think anything less than an eight inch 4:3 screen is too small for the latter day retro systems. as a result I have sold my RP6 and am just left with a Retroid Classic and a RG34XXSP and that seems like all I'd ever need
>>
>>12565251
No? I'm having tons of fun playing PS2 on my 4-inch 4:3 screen and I could probably even go a little smaller without being bothered by it
>RP6
RP6 is not 4:3, it is 16:9, which is widescreen and garbage for PS2 games, which are natively 4:3. You seem to be confused
>>
>>12565291
Why do spergs seethe so hard about letterboxing, it's not that deep lol
Also serious games are not meant for handhelds that's why I prefer even psx games on my monitor much less ps2
>>
>>12565291
>>12565291
I just find that past the 5th gen the worlds created are more detailed and immersive that they deserve to be on a bigger screen as opposed to the SNES or NeoGeo where everything is clear and bright That you dont miss much playing on a tiny screen. Probably just a mental thing for me but every time I tried to play Wind Waker or whatever on my 477M which I also sold I thought what the hell am even doing and switch to my laptop which I also travel with.
>>
>>12565126
Retroid is the Playstation (best performance and quality, no issues like red ring of death)

Anbernic is the Xbox (very reminiscent ergonomics in several of their devices).

MagicX is actually turning out to be the third of the big three. They are Nintendo. Every device they release is a fucking banger and serves another niche the other two companies are too headstrong to produce. It seems that whoever is making decisions at their company actually plays games or at least reads comments and knows exactly what to do and what not to do when making a new handheld. I am very impressed by them. They even have a device for playing DS games specifically (the Zero 40).

AYN IS just Retroid, they are both owned by Moorechip, and the Odin is just their premium alternative to the RP6, and AYN's whole purpose is to be more premium. They aren't competitors, but complements.

Miyoo is Sega. They make one amazing product, the Mini (Genesis), but can't evolve or think of anything else to do to separate themselves, so they become forgotten.

Ayaneo is Apple lmao. At least it feels that way to pretty much everyone.
>>
>>12565251
The fuck am I reading here? Gen 6 consoles were basically 480p machines. They look great on 4-6 inch displays. It's only gen 7 and later that start being bad, but I personally don't care about anything gen 7 and later aside from the handhelds.
>>
File: 4:3onwidescreen.jpg (601 KB, 1954x1472)

>>12565312
Because it's not letterboxing, it's pillarboxing. There are several reasons it is stupid. But the main one is that it reminds you you could have just gotten a smaller and more nimble device that doesn't have dead black space on the sides if you didn't sperg out and buy something that can run modern consoles AND retro platforms just because you were too ADHD to choose one or the other.

Here's how they look compared.
>>
>>12565321
You might want to get a more expensive device that has higher pixel density. That can help tremendously
>>
>>12565346
It doesn’t matter.
>>
>>12565251
nah I feel you on that anything past dreamcast just feels lame on a handheld. Getting the omni device feels like a lost cause for these devices, better to get something pocketable which plays a few select platforms really well
>>
>>12565360
It does matter, and excessive pillarboxing is distracting and drives me insane. The meta has pretty much always been the same: one super powerful device for modern widescreen content, and a small, squarish 4:3 or 1:1 device for older games. You will notice pretty much every youtuber has subconsciously adopted this setup for their EDC, and there is a valid reason for it. Trying to shoehorn games onto screens they aren't built for feels awful to play. There's no way around it unless Anbernic starts smoking the good stuff this year and makes a device with an extendable screen.
>>
>>12565346
I will admit that Gamecube games looked good on the 477M but the loud shoulder buttons and the whistling fan were too distracting, and PS2 I got tired of dealing with the fractured mess of PCSX2 Android development, would rather just use a laptop and use the real deal
