I'm becoming a bit disillusioned with 3rd and 4th Gen action games. It seems like if the game isn't part of an established series like Mega Man, Castlevania, Sonic, etc. then it's just button mashing nonsense with zero level design. Are there really more quality RPGs for these gens than there are action games?

If all those other games were worth a damn, then they too would probably be well known today and have sequels too.
