Eh, the TG-16 overstated its prowess a little bit but at the same time, the games *did* look better than your typical 8-bit game. It wasn't full blown SNES-teir 16 bits but it was impressive at the time.

The games didn't really start looking 16bit until the cd add on, in my opinion. Legend of Xanadu looks comparable to an snes game for example.

PCE could come to close to the SNES, just goes to show that 512 colors was sort of enough. I think the resolution is a bit higher or something too.

This game is fucking ass, it manages to be both too easy and annoying/cheap at the same time, mainly because nothing happens and then suddenly some bullshit hits you from close range at a reasonably quick speed. Then if you die you're way too slow and just completely fucked. I really wanted to like this game but I couldn't, 1CC'd it and never played again.

Also it revolves around using the Arrow Flash mechanic way too much instead of actually being a shmup. Basically all the bosses will just go down after a few Arrow Flashes.
