If you have any love for action or fighting games of any kind or you like campy/slapstick comedy there's no excuse not to play God Hand.At this point it'll run on a toaster. It'll run on your phone.
>>12565947Is it true that this game is fucked up on emulator?
>>12565954It's not 100% accurate but it's certainly not fucked up in any way anyone but a real-hardware speedrunner would notice. The game uses spherical hitboxes which means wonky PS2 floating point math but the rounding errors will rarely make a difference in whether you get hit if ever.Probably the biggest difference is item RNG being more favorable which is again something the average player would never notice.
>>12565954No
>>12565954No but there's no stopping retards from downloading 60fps patches and widescreen patches and "decensor" patches (there is no censorship in NTSC God Hand) that fuck the game sideways.
One of the few retro-feeling ps2 games
God Hand is the worst "hidden gem" ever made. Probably one of the most overrated games ever made too.
>>12566014filtered
>>12566014Care to elaborate or are you just mad that Q and A stomped you?
>>12566014
>>12566014Yeaaaa I played it for an hour and it was pretty boring and repetitive. I would rather have had more enemies with smaller health bars or something
>>12566041>anon played like an IGN reviewer, never figuring out that guard break exists and just mashing square and backflippingunironically filtered
It really sucks that the game is so obtuseAin't nobody reading a game manual in 2026
Yeah GodHand is an all timer on a system full of classics. Im playing through it again on emulation, the game never gets old. Not a lot of other games that really capture the rush of trying to keep up with Level Die enemies but when you do the flow state is unreal
I'm good at the vidya gaemAsk me any question about how something works in God Hand or how to fuck up any enemy/boss/levelDid you know that if you get up slowly and immediately do a charge move you'll be invincible until its first active frames?
The game would've done fine if it had some marketing and a tutorial.
>>12565947I still cant believe Gene didnt make it to a MvC game. Goddamnit Capcom!
What's the best version of God Hand to play? i downloaded the japanese iso and there was a bunch of combat text i couldnt read. Now i found some uncensored patch NTSC version. should i go with that one?
>>12567702I've played the game a lot and never heard of those differences in the Japanese version. If you look at the actual TCRF page though, that AI summary is just wrong. It's only talking about the move Chin Music specifically, and I guess 7 other moves have different cancel windows. The Japanese version also has the pan drop roulette which you can really abuse if you know how the game works.Just play the US version.
>>12566104God Hand is a good game but God Hand players are shit. Doing the same fucking boring ass combo ad nauseum.
>>12567718God Hand's fun to play, which is what games are supposed to be. It wasn't designed to entertain people who just watch playthroughs. I think all the Indian dudes uploading segmented runs and flat-out cheated videos have misled people into thinking it's some kind of DMC crazy game. It really is just more of a 3D belt scroller.
>>12567771Yeah it's fun to play for the drooling retards who just want to spam their canned guard break combo and button mash through the in-game god mode
>>12567702There's no censorship in the US version, that patch is bullshit and also unlocks all the moves in the game in 1-1. Just play the standard NTSC iso.>>12567771Yeah way too many BR's and SEA's posting romhack and TAS tool videos have made people think it's DMC.
>>12567771>It really is just more of a 3D belt scroller.Right down to sucking major ass and requiring you to play as boringly as possible.
>>12568489Urban Reign will never be a cult classic like God Hand Cope
>>12566014Chris, we get it. You're still butthurt since everyone enjoyed the game except you.
>>12567709been playing it for a couple of hours and this game is amazing
>>12565947This game is shit and the infamous IGN review was absolutely on point. I'm tired of pretending this game is actually good.
>>12569274It's endlessly replayable, too, with a final grade average and everything.Besides hard mode there's also beating the game with the kick me sign on and a bunch of ng+ challenges in the arena
