>We have Smash Bros. at home
Falseflag thread
>completely different geometric plane than smash bros
>>12572263This is what Playstation All Stars should have copied, unironically, instead of Smash Bros.
>"smash at home" ends up being much better
game is significantly better than super trash bros
>>12572578i’m going to fucking fart on you
>>12572263the sequel is better and shits all over super groomer bros
>>12572592You a cute girl?
>>12572535How would they copy it ironically?
>>12572535Apparently that was the original plan until someone said make it 2D and a Smash clone
>>12572598Sequel might as well be a different franchise or a spinoff at the very least
>>12572672Which was fucking retarded because none of the characters on the roster debuted in a 2D game.
>>12572263Powerstone was far more influential than smash bros.
Ehrgeiz was better competitively
>>12572263I prefer this over Smash.
>>12572263This is an arcade game whilst Smash Bros is a home console series, so surely Smash Bros is a case of 'we have Power Stone at home'
>>12572263in the context of when it came out, this was a pretty high profile next gen title. I saw it running on a demo Dreamcast in a game store and remember being blown away by the colour, speed and smoothness. It was visibly a step up from the PS1 and the first time I felt like a console was delivering a genuine arcade experience
>>12573332And other lies we tell ourselves
>>12572263Power Stone is actually fun and better than Smash Brothers.
>>12574094You are LYING to yourself. Don't you feel silly? Only way someone can believe that is through dishonesty.
>>12572263Imagine how much better this game would be with Sonic and Nights
>>12574138False. I played both games and Power Stone edges out on fun factor. The only thing Smash Bros has over Power Stone is Nintendo characters from multiple franchises.
>We have Nekketsu Fighting Legend at home
>>12574201SB64 >>>>> Gaylee
>>12572263You can play it and 2 over Fightcade.
>>12574094It is but at the cost of skill ceiling
>>12572598the sequel is bigger, way bigger, but the gameplay is worse and it's less interesting mechanically
It's sad that this is one of the few good examples of an arena fighter. The genre gets a bad rap because of all the crappy licensed games associated with it.
Would this franchise have done better if it had featured an All-stars cast of Capcom characters and had been ported outside the Dreamcast?
Am I the only person who thought Falcon was a young Captain Falcon because I'd never hear of F-Zero?
>>12572535>>12572608>>12572672The icons: Spyro and Crash were 3D platformers, one linear the other semi-open world.Sly Cooper was a 3d linear platformer too.Playstation's most recognizable games are not 2d,because they started with a 3d graphics console. The could've even had Abe from Oddworld if Oddworld hadn't gone to Xbox for a while.
>>12572263Why are most things SEGA always either:-unlucky, they barely continue.-generic in taste.-obscure.-seem low budget-the surface style looks more interesting than it actually is.I suppose Sony had more money to buy all the good talent.Same as Nintendo, but Nintendo used it for family friendly stuff. So SEGA had to buy what was left of the talent with money that was less than Nintendo and Sony. And Sony before and since Playstation were in the electronics. So when it came to money, they obviously had.
>>12574695SEGA is cursed to be always Sonic and Yakuza.
>>12572263I happen to know of its knockoff, and it's so much worse...
IT'S YOUR TIME TO BEWHAT YOU'RE MEANT TO BEYOUR CHANCE TO CLAIM YOUR DESTINYLOOK DEEP INSIDE YOURSELFCAN YOU PASS THE TEST?THE WORLD'S A BATTLEFIELDCAN YOU BE THE BEST OF THE BEST?
Remember when Powerstone clones were actually a thing? When is was actually a farily common go-go for licensed games?
>>12574695>Would this franchise have done better if it had featured an All-stars cast of Capcom charactersWe did that, it was Capcom Fighting Jam, and it fucking sucked.
>>12572263Nice, invite me over to play. It is much better with the home system for easy multiplayer than on the portable system.
>>12576652I rented the Tom and Jerry one as a kid. It was fun for a rental. On the other hand, I've clocked in over a thousand hours of Melee over the years.
>>12576734I can't believe someone besides me has Battle Stadium DON
