Let's settle this once and for all: which version is superior?
>Let's settle this once and for all thread #4494763For the record, I like the SNES versions colors, music, Capcom pixel artstyle, focus on acrobatics over being some sort of made slasher and the more straight forward level design. There are many reasons some may prefer the Genesis version which is more maze like, combat focused and was made using real Disney animators.See you all in "Let's settle this once and for all thread #4494764".
Virgin Aladdin is literally "style over substance"Mikami Aladdin mog it
Genesis/MD version is so much better it's unreal >no sword in the snes gamewhat were they thinking??
>>12574096They're not "versions" they're completely different games. Also it's the SNES.
>>12574096genesis>>12574145they're two versions of "disney's aladdin"
Mike Matei, a better gamer than most of you, beat the Sega version on stream but couldn’t be bothered to finish the Snezz version due to it being so shite.

Master System/GG is way underrated
Euro platformer vs japanese Capcom prime platformer...
>>12574118I lived for the sword clashes lighting up the screen
Kill yourself, OP.
>>12574187Why?
>>12574152Hi Mike
>>12574148That's a movies and television this is the video games retards board.
>>12574096Where does this brain damage of calling completely unrelated games "versions" of each other come from? Like its a really dumb thing, they have exactly nothing in common beyond an IP veneer.
>>12574096Genesis version had actual Disney animators work on it, so that one.
>>12574096Genesis version > Snes version They're both good though
>>12574152>auster is into ecelebskek based
>>12574152You have to be 18 to post here
>>12574096snes aladdin... the whole thing just lacks zazz.
>>12574096Snes is too simple of a game, Genesis had shit combat feedback specially when the sword hits an enemy. Both aren't great but I think the Genesis one has more people being delusional about its actual quality due to the fluid animation and being one of the few Genesis exclusives people cared about around that time.
I like the glide mechanic and acrobatics in the SNES version. It's a more fun game to move around in.
This seems like a "why bother comparing and contrasting, just enjoy" sorta thing. My only experience with Aladdin is via Kingdom Hearts
>>12574525You're right. OP just forces the same threads about this game over and over because he just wants there to be constant console war shitpost threads on /vr/.
>>12574096SNES version is better. Genesis version is eurojank.
>>12574530>everyone I don't like is the same personmeds
>>12574547Wrong
>>12574118they were thinking that aladdin is a dashing street thief that not a hardened cutthroat.
>>12574118He didn't use a sword in the movie until the very end.SNES game is better overall cause people who actually knew how to make a good game made it. Just because Disney Animators worked on a game does not make it a good game
The master system one of course.
>>12575035Best answer.
Genesis game is not bad but it still has that 16bit western platfomer jank to it. It just doesn't feel very good to play, hit detection, jump and run physics, feedback from hitting and getting hit, it's all a bit spotty. And I find it hilarious that the sword is seen as a selling point when it's the worst when it comes to all of this, it's absolute shit to use.But it's harder than the SNES game I guess, if challenge is all you care about I guess you could like it more.
>>12575214Yeah but said challenge comes from the spotty hit detection (mostly falling through graphic assets when you jump, not landing properly for example on the lily pads on the palace's fountain part), while the SNES game provides fair challenge if you want to go for 100%
>>12574210these two came out at about the same time, not too long after the movie
>>12574096Simple flowchart>does the game let you use a sword?>yesBetter>noWorseGenesis Aladdin gives Aladdin a sword, do the math.
>>12574168Nah, it's just underexposed. It's not a particularly good game, and only passes the low bar of being the best 8-bit 'laddin.
>ctrl+f>no results for "sims"Why does it gotta be this way?
>>12575353Not to mention apples kill enemies, not just stun them. Really, the debate is more about which type of platformer you like, rather than which one is "objectively" better.
>>12575751Why would people be talking about The Sims ITT?
>>12575924LOL, not THAT Sims. I'm talking about SIMS Co., Ltd., which was a joint venture between Sanritsu and SEGA.
>>12575929Oh, yeah that Sims, the one we all know about because it is common fucking knowledge. Indians and autists should be banned from the internet.
"It's better because it has a sword" is such a playground argument. You guys must be in your 30s or 40s so I hope you're still saying it ironically.
>>12574096Genesis version is better because it has a sword
>>12576568Give SNES Aladdin a gun and it's perfect
