I recently played this and it's sequels and I kind of agree. There's WEIGHT to the combat. If you move you have to COMMIT to it. You CANNOT make errors. Even cannon fodder enemies can whittle down your health.

The processor is gonna be a bottleneck, you're probably better off emulating Sigma on RPCS3 or running the PC port. I know it's not the same.

This thread made me try 2 on xenia again and there are no more sound bugs, the game runs flawlessly, as far as featureset is concerned. Still very performance intensive, but it's not like it was known for consistent performance on original hardware.
Hope they get around to doing the decomp so it can run perfectly and let me remap buttons, not a fan of trigger blocking.

I would say Black is still overall better, but Sigma 1 is perfectly fine. More of a sidegrade, except for visuals where I do think it's a straight upgrade.
I'd think Sigma 1 would be all around better if not for the shitty extra chapters.

be honest - did you look up the jump attack trick to avoid the ghost fish, or did you just deal with them? on my first few playthrus i remember just spamming magic and hoping i got more magic orbs to get thru.
