I know in the west he's just "that guy who made Hong Kong 97," but Kowloon Kurosawa seems like such an interesting dude. He's published several books and magazines about his travels in seedy parts of Japan and Southeast Asia. I found his autobiography while looking through Yahoo Auctions listings for Magicoms (Japanese name for piracy devices like disk copiers and flash carts). I almost considered picking it up, but it was fairly expensive and I don't think my language ability is far enough along to properly read it.
