Since my thread has rocketed straight to the bottom of the board, and we're running out of hours in the day, I'll explain it, in true autist fashion.
Today is May 16th, like the title of Lagwagon's song on the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 soundtrack. Also, today is a Saturday, like the lyric "It's just another Saturday". May 16th won't fall on a Saturday again until 2037, so it's a rather special Epic Retro Gamer Moment.

I played them more than almost anything when they were coming out. Played 3 and 4 online. Came 2nd place in a 3 tournament. 20-50 mil points a combo. Thousand of hours.
I would not have gotten the reference, it's been forever.
They're some of the games I can get to work well on emulator, but just not well enough. Maybe has something to do with it. They are exceptional games.
