This is my childhood
yes, you play 2 player and throw your brother off and waste lives
>>12576393Me too. I have no idea how idea how many times I played this game; probably more than a hundred times. I played it tons as a kid and then I also played it a lot in the late 00s early 10s using online coop when that became a thingThe sequel is okay I guess but it never did it for me. Half of the levels lose the whole "you're small in a big world" idea, cutscenes get in the way, and the overall pacing just doesn't feel as good.
>>12576393This is my least fondly remembered after school cartoon and I don't know why. It was a good show and had good games. I think it was maybe just a little too kiddy in an era where the kids from my generation were starting to grow up. TMNT to Batman: TAS was a natural progression and then there were leftover kiddy shows like this. I remember liking it a lot but I rarely ever think about it.
>>12576393The game is great, but I really wanted to see more of Gadget both in the game and the show. The co-op option made the game a lot better to me. As for the show, aside from the one character, they were all pretty intolerable characters and I would have more easily switched to something else if not for the inventor mouse. Surprised Capcom did not do a Gummy Bears game to have the whole afternoon lineup.
>>12576413The bosses in the sequel suck too, most are of that annoying "wait half a minute between each chance to attack them" kind.
>>12576749Found the furfag.
>>12576749It was Tiny Toons for me. Pretty good game too surprisingly.
>>12576749>Surprised Capcom did not do a Gummy Bears game to have the whole afternoon lineup. In Japan, Gummi Bears only aired for 2 seasons (21 episodes) back in 1987, they didn't get the rest of the series until 1994. It probably performed poorly.Meanwhile Duck Tales and Chip'n Dale aired in full on TV Tokyo are were very popular, which is presumably why they got two games each instead of one.
>>12576749>no darkwing duckpathetic
>>12576749>and the showWhat? Gadget is a main character and appears in the show constantly. How much more would you want?>Every time Gadget is not on screen, the other characters should say "Where's Gadget?"
>>12576906I will mating press the rat: https://youtube.com/shorts/tBKecNFOouE>>12576908In my area, it was on at the same time slot as Rescue Rangers, so that was the decision to be made.>>12576909I had no idea. Learn something all the time. That does seem like a plausible reason.>>12576930What was that? You DO want more pics from me.>>12577063In the first game, I only remember the character showing up in the intro, and I can't remember if in the ending.
>>12576908I had both TTA and Chip'n'Dalesand also Duck Tales 2
>>12576393Got it for my 6th birthday. I love the cover art. Something sort of dark and desperate about it.
>>12577498Yes, it's a great piece. I used to look at it a lot.
Now compare to CnD2 which again, doesn't even have the "small characters in a big world" motif. At least it's consistent with the game I suppose.
>>12576428WB cartoons were a little more adult oriented. Tiny Toons and Animaniacs especially had lots of meta insider Hollywood humor.
>>12577097Gadget is clearly a mouse, not a rat.
Ch-Ch-Chip n' Dale - Rescue RangersCh-Ch-Chip n' Dale - Rescue RangersFuck them dogs, I'll throw apples and fuck that fly bitch when I finish the level.
>>12576395>you play 2 player and throw your brother off and waste livesCo-op platformer with friendly fire was far ahead of its time when most games were hotseat multiplayer.
>>12577521Yeah, I've been rewatching Animaniacs lately. They're fucking obsessed with Jerry Lewis jokes for some reason.
>>12577817The one Pinky and the Brain segment that’s just a recreation of Orson Welles recording an ad for frozen peas in like 1970 is amazing. It’s so incredibly specific and made just for the amusement of the show’s creators.
Animaniacs was fucking weird, it's a show written for adults but aimed at kids, and aired in the 90s when adults wouldn't have watched it anyway.Kids will laugh at the slapstick, but 90% of the jokes kids aren't going to even understand ARE jokes
>>12577936Pretty much. Unless you had weird parents who showed you a lot of old vaudeville stuff I guess.
