I really love the Ship Rex level in Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. Not the best 3D platformer but it's better than average and has a few fun levels.

How can Australians claim to suffer when they live in real life environments like this?

Every step he's taking in that gif he is probably stepping on some sea creature that's injecting enough poison to kill 400 people into his feet.

Time for a Wind Waker replay to get this summer started.

I’ve always liked that the first Resident Evil game takes place in late July, so it can be played as a summer game if you’re in the mood for spooky stuff. Eternal Darkness also feels appropriate for summer to me for some reason.

What are some retro video games set almost entirely during the summer time or in a summer-like environment? Here are a few that come to mind:
-Super Mario Sunshine
-The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
-The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
-Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball
-Resident Evil
-Wave Race 64
-Pokémon: Ruby and Sapphire
-Psychonauts
-Chrono Cross
-Final Fantasy X
-Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
-Boku no Natsuyasumi
-Sonic Adventure 1 & 2

E-rated games used to have sexier women than M-rated games are allowed to today.

Are there any retro games that you personally associate with summer even if they aren't entirely focused on summer/tropical vibes?

My family was always renting games but especially during summer. Like during the school year we'd just rent one or two over the weekend but when we were off it was a new game or two every few days (or however long you could have them). So I ended up associating a lot of them with summertime. I remember us renting Mega Man 4 multiple times (while never owning it) around the Summer Olympics of 1992 and I remember renting Time Lord right before a really bad flood in my city forced us to be stuck at home with the game for longer than normal and as we all know it kinda sucked lol.
