I'll start with Knights of the Round.
The SNES version feels and plays better. Why?
The arcade version is technically more advanced sure, but snes version kinda has better actual combat flow. The slower pace,, heavier movement makes fighting feel more deliberate (think sekiro/dark souls) instead of chaotic crowd clearing. Positioning spacing timing blocks/parries all matter way more cause the screen isnt just full of nonsense all the time.

The arcade version can get really messy desu. Enemy spam, dumb stunlocks, chaotic multiplayer scaling ruining singleplayers omode, quarter eater balancing (but thats a meme! no it's not, its extremely choatic in an unfun way)etc. Sometimes it feels less like youre learning mechanics and more like youre just surviving visual clutters.... and trading hits with 20 mooks on screen lol. Faster doesnt automatically mean deeper.

Meanwhile the snes version trims the fat and makes the combat cleaner and more tactical. Less enemies means attacks are more readable and fights feel more intense in a good way. Damage matters more armor upgrades feel meaningful and you actually gotta think a bit instead of facerolling everything. It ends up feeling more like a legit action game with some weight to it rather than pure arcade chaos.

Gen alpha is so brain broken from being terminally online and never reading a book that they think any paragraphing is AI lmao
>>
Many NES ports

Contra,Double dragon,Bionic commando
>>
>>12577302
wow i legit thought that i was the only one that prefered the snes versions of knights of the round, magic sword, king of dragons and street fighter 2 turbo. The snes just made them feel better to play. Cant really explain it

Turtles in Time

These aren't so much ports as completely different games with the same name. Like Rygar, Bucky O'Hare, Ninja Gaiden, Section Z and many others.

>gen alpha
Why would a 16 year old be on /vr/ let alone 4chan?
>>

Are Gen A equivalent to Emos checking out 4Chan /vr/ to be ironic or whatever? That's cool if so, fr fr.

Same reason why this board is like 60% zoomer now

I'd argue the SNES port of Final Fight. Because of the limitations it has less enemies on screen at a time which makes the game much more manageable.
>>
Forbidden arcane truth: most console ports are better than the arcade original. The developers didn't need to worry about scamming you out of 25 cents every 2 minutes, so the gameplay is actually balanced.

Smaller sprites, no camera shake, no camera zoom, no slowdown.

Street fighter 2 turbo lagged, didn't have the arcade combos and the sound was terrible. I get it has a special spot in your heart, but c'mon bro
>>
>>12577302
It's easier on SNES that's about it.
>>
>>12577881
Less levels, less enemy variety and no two player mode.
It’s a poor port.

Sorry didn't read your post, too busy mirin' that beautifully dithered road. That is a nice road.

It does read like a bot or a mindless redditor.
Basically same shit, because who the fuck actually writes like that? It's so unnatural and looking to impress instead of actually saying anything of value.

Holy fucking cope.
This is just janny doing another tendie love thread isn't it
>>

Turbo didnt lag on SNES, i think you are confusing it with the Dramatic Slowdown that was programmed into the game engine itself even on Arcade for the sake of impact.

What lagged as hell was Alpha 2 on SNES

When I was 16, I was on 4chan posting in /v/. /vr/ didn't exist it the time. /vr/ was basically just /v/, but with UR MR GAY

Tekken Tag. The original arcade version is essentially a souped-up PlayStation game, while the home version is, and looks like, a PS2 game.

Both look and play better in console/PC better than the grainy pixelated arcade originals

Objectively true. The redone combat system makes the game enjoyable and gives it a little more depth than just button mashing.

If we had a definitive release that had

>4 player support and animations from the Arcade release
>Dash button from Hyperstone Heist as well as Scene 3
>Extra content and combat overhaul of the SNES release
>The ability to swap between all 3 different soundtracks and a rearranged soundtrack that combines all three
https://youtu.be/M8zqjQgnpoc?si=y4b5_KZGJdfCpqht

We'd have a bomber version
>>
>developed by toaplan themselves
>50 extra levels
>better music
>get to play as a waifu through the later half
The only flaw is the missing second boss music, but this is otherwise superior to the arcade in every aspect.
