>>12580804The super man game on the snes is kinda fun
>>12580817anon...
>>12580817>Based on the famous character created by Jerry (((Siegel))) and Joe (((Shuster)))
>>12580817>alien diaspora uses american values to wield power and claim superioritysuperman is a perversion of the american frontier spirit, he's a manager class symbol
>>12580804Consider the following
>>12580848Oh, I know, I know. He's a hero of the Last Man, guardian of "peace".
I'd say picrel not only a good game, but exactly what a Superman game should be. It has the character in roles that actually fit him such as freeing hostages and escorting a shuttle through an asteroid field, not dumb bullshit like taking damage from street level thugs or flying through rings. The story is told through comic-book esque cutscenes and there's an excellent rendition of the John Williams theme song to seal the deal.
The Atari 2600 game is fine
>>12580804I remember having a Game Informer mag from 2005 with an article about a Superman title for the ps2. Moreover I remember that specific issue because it had a Guns of the Patriots cover with Old Snake on the front. I do wonder what Superman game that was...
>>12580804I don't know about good, but the Death of Superman game was passable at least.
>>12580848>the sight of lordly might causes him to hiss out and seetheBegone, demon.
>>12580882Must have been Superman Returns
Superman would be better as a full on shmup
>>12580919Is it any good?
>be me>making a playlist of every Marvel game I can for my frontend>it's mostly Spider-Man and X-Men, but the Hulk, Avengers, Punisher, among others all have games>make a playlist for DC>it's almost entirely Batman, a few handfuls of Superman games, some Justice League, two Flash games, and not much elseDC is hard-carried by Batman in comics and in games it seems.
>>12580851About 5 people played that.
>>12581018DC has way better characters than Batman. Batman's popularity is due to normies latching onto him hardcore and never bothering to check out anything else. Marvel's best stuff also lies outside of the world of Spiderman and X-Men.
>>12580863At the time it released it was considered ground-breaking, which sounds dumb now but compare it to Adventure or Asteroids which both released that same year. Video Magazine and Computer Gaming Illustrated both put it as their game of the year even. Today, yeah it is fine. It's cute and even a little fun to explore and see all the detail they crammed into an early Atari game, and experience something that was really the first of it's kind. I'd call this a good one
>>12581041>NORMIES!! NORMIES DID THIS!!!What do you think a "normie" is exactly, and what makes an incel like you "better"?
>>12581047>normie seething over having pedestrian tasteLMAOYou're a lost cause bro.
>>12581053I'm waiting for an argument, incel. Do you have any point? Or are you just such a miserable turd of a human being you can't even talk about video games?Imagine being you every day, waking up and raging, red-faced, screaming at the sky that you have to live. Couldn't be me
>>12581058Bro... you're malding right now because I said DC has better characters than Batman.
>>12581059This you?
>>12581041The best thing about DC is you get more of a feel for the characters as normal people who just so happen to have some secret power that leads to them having a double life. Marvel characters pretty much are their powers and the characters are just wrapped around those powers, though some of them like Spiderman are more DC-like in that regard. And on the DC side you have some characters like Wonder Woman that are more Marvel-like if you think about it.
>>12581061I don't read a single piece of comicslop. I want to know why you're having a panic attack over some perceived external class of "normies" that you think ruined everyone for losers like you. What makes losers think they're important?
>>12581041I'm waiting for you to define what you think "normie" means and why you're not one.
>>12581065>doesn't read comics>posts in a Superman threadBig retarded.
>>12581038Really? That's a shame, it's pretty fun. Guess that makes it a hidden gem.
>>12581075This is a video game board you fucking retard. Holy shit, normies are stupid.
>>12581087>>12581092LMAOYou will never understand comics or comic video games. You will simply be spoonfed slop and clap.
>>12581041Didn't say otherwise, just financially, it's clear which one is holding them up.
>>12580804The entire DC universe hinges upon the actions of The Flash and he hasn't gotten a good game yet either.
>>12580828>>12580890Nice artwork and a great OST but other than that it's pretty mediocre, especially when compared to other beat em ups of that era as well as the story it's based on. On top of that, it didn't even feel like a Superman game, just a copy-paste generic beat em up with Superman and Doomsday sprites. Wouldn't call it a bad game but it's also not a good one, and it's definitely not a good Superman one
all the good ones were never released
>>12580804I liked the Taito arcade game as a kid
>>12582124That grating 15 second loop of the John Williams score constantly playing throughout the entire game is enough to make this one a fail for me. The graphics and the machine itself both look very nice though, glad you had fun with it growing up
>>12580804Like 7 more years until he's public domain and then you can make one yourself.
