If anyone has played Sylvan Tale for GameGear, I would like to talk about it.I just beat it and it was quite fun. I have a question on Zett's identity and other questions surrounding the game. Zett is the Goddess's son right? Is there any speculation on what Zett does or where Zett goes after the game ends? I assume he stays in Sylvan. Is there any follow up to this game? Where was Zett before Sylvan Tale? Was he just hidden away in a forest with animals all his life?
I haven't played it but it's on my list now, looks fun
>>12581647Whew, I played this like over a decade ago? I'm afraid it's been to long. Cute game, but everything is just so short. Phantasy Star Gaiden suffered from the same issue. (It's not an RPG but a Japanese point and click adventure)
>>12581850It's like majora's mask you turn into animals and shit and can use them at any point in time to do other things around the "open" world.
>>12581647I loved it but it was so forgettable compared to something like Crusader of Centy. The story is pretty simple and generic, but basically you're right, and he can go wherever he wants from there on and live his life the way he couldn't do. IIRC there was a subplot how villages only have children because the main villain preemptively disposes of anyone who might pose a threat to him as prophesized, and there's a nun who recognized the protagonist at some point, so he was hidden out of sight at some point before the game begins. You could do worse with Sega plots, especially on the Game Gear. Battle Axe (the shitty Zelda 2 clone) didn't have a proper final boss so they settled things with a static screen of the overworld with narration of how the final boss was defeated and peace returned. I hear that Story of Thor 2 for the Saturn loses the plot near the end pretty badly too
