I think a lot of people, myself included when I tried it nearly two decades ago, finish this game the first time around wishing they were playing Sunset Riders instead.But a few years ago I encountered Moo Mesa in an arcade while on a trip and decided to give it another run. I then realized you can cancel the stampede move which recoils back into a somersault that can send you flying across the screen, complete with invincibility frames. This game has hidden dodge roll tech and using it effectively is very satisfying. I think this alone makes the game uniquely distinct from Sunset Riders or Mystic Warriors.
