>be me>never play game boy anywhere except my couch>always have to buy new batteries>never bought picrelWhat was he thinking?
>tendie>being retardedNo clue, Anon.
>>12582982>be me>never play my gramps toy>watch a youtube>shitpost on teh 4chinWhat was they/them thinking?
I just had rechargeable batteries.>AC adapterYou didn’t beat the game
>be batterychad >can play their game anywhere in the house >can seamlessly move from the bed to the toilet to the bed without having to stop gaming>"sure Mom, I'm coming to dinner">*plays Pokemon while eating at the dinner table with his family, like a good son*>be AC adapter virgin>relegated to having to play near an outlet >tethered to the wall with a fucking umbilical cord, like an unborn baby>"n-no, I have to go to the bathroom... but that would mean I have to stop playing Pokemon...">*pisses and shits pants like a baby*
>>12582982I never knew this existed wtf>game boy pocketoh thats why. fuck nintendo for never making this for dmg, gbc or the original gba. battery hell was torture as a kid, I was mixing and matching batteries to eek out ten more minutes of play time like a third worlder.
I can't imagine anything more cucked than playing a handheld that's plugged into the wall. You're never getting your dignity back after that.
>>12583065They made ac adaptors for every gameboy, including all the ones you listed..
>>12582982batteries were pretty cheap in those days. my family was broke af and I don't ever remember batteries preventing me from playing Game Boy.
>>12583062You thought it would be funny, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. Here's your (you).
>>12583080well I never ran into one growing up. wouldve been life changing for me as a kid. I feel robbed. finally getting a charging battery+backlight with the sp was so amazing.
had a Game Gear and a Game Boy and AC adapters for both and the external battery for the Game Gear
>>12582982battery life on og game boy was good so never felt the need for this. however i did get the power adapter for game gear
>>12583062What sort of hovel are you living in that doesn't have outlets in the bathroom
>>12584136>>12583096Seething AC faggots
>>12582982if you were a kid then technically why would you even know this was a better deal? Also you're not thinking of the downside of having a cable strapped to your game boy, sure you didn't move from the couch but sometimes moving to a different position or place from the couch that the AC adapter would not have let you. Finally, perhaps your parents did know about it, but they rather spend a couple of bucks on batteries since they lasted you for a while rather than pay full MSRP for the ac adapter. Sure on the long run they could've saved some money but a couple of bucks here and there didn't seem much to them but the AC adapter would've been a bigger investment even if it was only a one time purchase.Don't feel guilty you didn't save $40 tops to your parents during your childhood. It was well worth it. Hope you can finally go to sleep tonight anon without this regret carrying on your shoulders.
>>12584219I have outlets in my restroom.
>>12583065>>12583134they even had a portable battery pack for the dmg. i had it but i don't remember using it much.
I lived in a shithole country and had a used Sega Nomad but my mom didn’t want to buy me batteries so I bought a chink AC adapter which didn’t fit well and if I happened to hold the Nomad at the wrong angle everything immediately shut off. I beat several RPGs this way.
>>12583065The GB Pocket adapter works on the GBC.
>>12583021This. Racing against the battery drain is part of the experience.
