Never knew dpad mods would be such a huge pain in the ass. Bought a dpad mod for my legion go online because the original was so shallow diagonals were impossible. Put the mod in and it was an improvement in some ways but had accidental diagonals out the ass. Had to open back up, put tape in the middle then shape off plastic on each 3d printed tip then burned them ever so slightly to make it more even. Works perfectly now. very consistent and passes the contra test.

Imagine a SUPER CLICKY dpad that is practically flush with the surrounding plastic. It was terrible. You couldn't use diags at all with stock dpad plastic. The custom one I'm using has magnets on it and turns it into an xbox elite setup. So I bought a metal plate for it and it looks golden now.
I really want to like my miyoo flip v2 but the charging issues are just deplorable. Doesn't matter if I use 5v/1a or 5v/2a. The fucking thing will still take over 6 hours to charge and then somehow even after sleeping for those 6 hours still tell me it needs more charging for yet a 7th hour even when the battery says 99%. This isn't usable at this point. No device should ever take more than 4 hours to charge.

Unironically my 40 dollar moto g play can play up to psp at x5 native and its super light in comparison to my much heavier redmagic 11 pro. Plus it has expandable sd card storage so I just stuck my miyoo flip sd card in there and moved on with my day since I have a gamesar x5 lite. I want to love my legion go but man that thing is just way too big. Maybe if I started working out or something it'd be different. Its really a shame too. The redmagic seems like the magic bullet solution but no expandable storage means I have to use a much heavier controller that adds usb-otg passthrough to slap in a tiny little flash drive on it. So it just seems like the moto g play wins for now unless I can convince myself the legion go is worth it for higher end systems. I still want something pocketable I can fit in my fanny pack and my x5 lite gamesar is just small enough.
I have one more idea though. Take the controllers off the legion go, use a bag that can vent heat easily and then buy some display glasses while walking around with a normal controller.

I wish someone would make a handheld with the same design philosophy as the gba and original gameboy. A lot of retro devices have those form factors or designs that make it feel retro but it's still very modern. I want someone to take the GBA classic and basically turn it into a 4:3 or 16:9 device, instead of making the usual slab with flat or bumped back we usually get. I really like the konker advance design but it's a full gba clone that has an aspect ratio which only works for that system because everything else looks too small on it.

It shouldn't be too large a difference because SteamOS should still be the frontend used, Proton is still the compatibility layer used for Windows games on Linux, and Bazzite should also have more community help compared to SteamOS due to being out longer.
