Why hasn't anybody reproduced this yet? I play my GameCube games out of my Wii and don't want to have to buy a whole new console and adapter just to play GBA games on my TV.

There are multiple GBA emulators available for the Wii

Probably not worth the cost relative to likely sales. It's a cool device and people pay out the ass for them, but I would assume a lot of that is due to the rarity and collectability moreso than just the functionality. I would imagine most people would just as soon use one of the other methods out there to play GBA carts on their TV.
But who knows, maybe someday somebody will be motivated enough to make and sell a modern WideBoy 64

An Electronics Boutique near my house had a couple of these in the late nineties. Such a cool store pre-Gamestop acquisition. They had tons of import stuff, and were selling Japanese Dreamcasts and VMUs way before the western launch.

I kick myself for not buying myself a W i d e B o y 6 4 then.

N64 controller isn't great for GB games, too bulky and using the dpad for a long time kind of sucks coming from someone that use to play wm2000/vpw2/etc for hours with friends everyday after school. It's not as simple as just making a reproduction cart either, each one would need to be a gameboy clone so it won't be cheap. Least retarded approach would be adding a romdumper/save manager to a flash cart but the only sensible way to do it would just be to implement it in a flashcart and use rom files. There's probably already a dozen better ways to play gameboy games on a TV though.
