Now that there are so many VR mods for /vr/ games, which ones are you playing?

I mean it sure is a fun gimmick, but I really don't get the appeal of playing retro games like this. Fucking around with it for a bit just for fun might be nice, but it probably becomes boring pretty quickly once the novelty wears off.

with gen5/gen6 3D games, these mods solve some real problems those games had because the controls were often not as good as in modern games, Metroid Prime is a good example.

Quite a few games with vehicles are more fun simply because the driving experience is more fun this way, certainly true for Simpsons H&R and GTA VC/SA.

Horror games like RE4 are more immersive, of course.

VR is best for vehicle/cockpit games, like X-Wing and TIE Fighter

This thread is fun. I am interested in VR for Retrogames. Can anyone tell me if Emuvr has evolved a lot since 2021

Augmentinel is my favorite VR retro thing.
The original game was already teleportation based, so there's no need to worry about motion sickness.

I wish there was one for Frutiger Aero aesthetic of the late 90's early 00's and even a replication of the Arcades back in the day. I wish to relive those times in VR.

You know I have to admit these VR experiences are interesting and really make me want to buy a VR Headset myself in the future.

PPSSPP has a good VR version, playing WipeOut Pulse with it is pretty intense

Steam Frame is probably going to be the hotbed for this kind of modding/romhacking/emulation stuff, seeing how open it is.
If you don't have $1060 to spare, the best budget option for a VR headset right now is a used Pico 4, you can find them for $250 on eBay

I didn't use emuvr as early as that, but it has been worked on quite consistently
