You could be a talented developer, but it doesn't mean you'll make good games. You need that special spark. Argonaut was great evidence of that. These guys were talented and made some technically impressive games, but the only games they ever worked on that are actually worth playing are the ones where Nintendo staff handled everything importantand Argonaut just programmed what Miyamoto and his team asked for. Argonaut were talented devs, but they didn't have that special spark. They still don't.

They were a technical company. There were a bunch of those in UK at the time, like RealTime, Incentive, Novagen.>>12890302>the only games they ever worked on that are actually worth playing are the ones where Nintendo staff handled everything importantand Argonaut just programmed what Miyamoto and his team asked forThis was not the case. They worked on StarFox levels, enemies and characters along with Nintendo but Nintendo obviously had way more experience in storytelling and design and all that.
>>12890304Why do you always comment that? Take your meds dude.
>>12890313>They worked on StarFoxYeah, and so did Nintendo staff. Shigeru Miyamoto is the creator of the series. They brought in Argonaut because they had technical experience making a game in the style that Nintendo was hoping to target. Star Fox is a good game and it's worth playing. Their games that didn't have Nintendo involvement aren't worth playing. That's the point.
>worth playingIf I've learned anything in my life, it's that "is X worth Xing" is an entirely pointless phrase and is only really used to be defensively dismissive. I'm glad I never fell for that brainrot.
>>12890320It was not the same company after the Japanese period. Nintendo sniped Giles, Dylan went to work at Sony and Peter left the industry.Starglider, Birds of Prey, Creature Shock and Alien Odyssey are cool games though
>>12890338based. that's why i disregard OP
>>12890302I loved croc on the pc. I was 10, I had never played sm64, and I played it straight after playing and loving tomb raider and its tank controls (I mapped the keyboard to exactly the same keys), so maybe I was primed for it more than the average human beingso I would say they were talented developer who made at least one great game
>>12890302Nintendo had nothing to do with Starglider 2.
Princess Daisy anon, is that you?
>>12890302Who the fuck are these guys again?
>>12890302Nintendo was the devs, they were programmers.
Vortex was cool as hell but not very gripping. Maybe I should give it another go...
Luv me Croc, wahey.
>>12890425Yeah Star Fox is just Starglider 1 with more polygons and literal gay furry slop. Starglider 2 kicks Shart Fox ass. A more ambitious and fun game despite running on much weaker hardware.
>>12890304Either that or a retard>>12890302The 3 Star Fox games are all good. The first one is iconicCroc is also a solid 7-8
>>12890302shut the fuck up, everyone. the local schizophrenic has a worthless opinion!>Argonaut was great evidence of that.not really>These guys were talented and made some technically impressive gamesskyfox and ... skyfox 2! oh wait they weren't technically impressive>but they didn't have that special sparki assume those custom chips they made were just figments of everyone's imagination? were nintendo going out of their way to design their own custom graphics accelerator/co-processor chips for their own consoles before that time? let's see:>nothey would shrivel up and die without contractors. shocking. what happened, schizo? i thought the failures at nintendo were computer experts or something? and they're desperately relying on outside contractors - from england - to save their shitty 8/16 bit console. embarrassing.
HP on PS1 was decent.
>>12891008Why are you swearing?
>>12890302Starfox 2 is literally my favourite SNES game
>>12890304>>12890302Especially when the same "ANIME 64" spam retard was just posting from the general again >>12890319
