I played the demo and enjoyed what I played - you get the beginning of one of the first four heroes with the demo. Currently at Chapter 8; anyone else play this?https://store.steampowered.com/app/1307960/Quartet/
>>3836075I played their previous game, Shadows of Adam. I need to actually go back and finish the post- content stuff. Good to see their new game finally came out.
It looked potentially decent but I am extremely skeptical of indie "JRPGs" so I was waiting to see opinions on it first.
>>3836387I like it so far, just got to Chapter 10. I think the dev said that it was about 20-25 hours or so.
>>3836075>>3836388QRD on the mechanics? I've seen the "you can switch people out to build up AP" thing in the description. How are the progression and character building?
>>3836604Traditional turn-based combat. Level Cap is 50 as opposed to 99, plenty of side quests (all relegated to near the end of the game), can earn money near the end to buy stat boosts for your party. When you swap characters, they regain their AP in the background per turn. There are also items to equip that increase the rate you regen AP or the amount of AP.
>>3836731Is there any actual customisation in terms of changing/choosing classes or skills? Or is it just automatic stat ups on level up?
>>3836922You can obtain items that permanently boost your stats:HP boosts by 25You can boost STR, LUCK, EVA by 1There's an NPC later that you can buy these from, but they are not cheap for about 20 - 100k depending on the stat.
>>3836075Does this have branching narratives or it's just choo-choo railroad beginning to end?
>>3837177>number goes up as the only customizationugh
>>3837184Basically the latter; the separate stories eventually join together and I don't want to spoil it.>>3837185Slight correction: You can equip weapons that do different status effects. One of the characters gets a sword near the end of the game where whenever he heals the party, everyone gets an attack boost.

>>3836075no, I don't play games with fat females
>>3837600What is your problem with the hippopotamus?
>>3837759fat, always hungry, always angry, faster than you think, actually extremely dangerous
>>3837600The hippo is the only fat female in the game, Anon. >>3837201It came out a few days ago and I wanted to see if other people played it. Based on the Steam achievements, not that many.
>>3838047that is enough for me
>>3836075Sorry, but after playing Shadows of Adam, I'm not in a hurry to pick up anything else by the same dev.
