Do you really need casters, or could you get by with alchemists/inquisitors, maybe a kineticist if necessary?
>>3837266You need casters and you can get away with 6th level casters,And by later half of the game, Inquisitor can auto-win
>>3837268>Inquisitor can auto-winI meant Kineticist.Deadly Earth or clouds/eruption if you dislike that flavor.Retarded, especially when alpha striking. But let me repeat: You need casters. I think even journalism difficulty will become an issue with pure mundane party
>>3837268>>3837272Thanks. None of the wizards/clerics appeal to me and I'm not interested in playing one, I guess I'll have to bring some of them around anyway. I like the Inquisitor and the Alchemist companion so I was hoping they could handle buffs/debuffs.
>>3837272I beat Kingmaker as a solo paladin
>>3837299Someone who has to ask this kind of question cannot clear the game solo
>>3837266>>3837287Alchemist is pretty much a caster. Just give him the feat that allows you to give potions to others. If you bring Linzi, she'll have your buffs covered.
>>3837287Alchemist companion can cover buffs fine as the other anon said, plan your builds appropriately and a lot of the martial companions can get access to some self-buffs too to help out. For crowd control Dazzling Display spam is probably your best option for non-Casters unless I'm forgetting some niche sub-class build. If you want ranged AOE damage the Kineticist companion is great for it and not limited by spell slots like casters are, just managing how much Burn you have accumulated.Healing is gonna fucking suck without a healbot caster though. Jaethal just isn't specc'd for healing anyone but herself due to being undead. If you want a "fun" healer build just going a melee+tank focused Paladin with some heals in your pocket is fine and will make you way less reliant on visiting healers and stocking up on scrolls and potions constantly.
>>3837329Hospitaler is good enough to heal party early on and ailments later, really
>>3837272I just wish Kineticists weren't so cumbersome to play. And you also get two for free in the DLC.
>>3837352Are they worse in Kingmaker than WotR? Been ages for me since I replayed it with the twins but I find the class fine in WotR besides your health bar on your portrait not being adjusted properly for when you actually get KO'd due to burn lowering your max HP
