Remember to wash your cars from time to time, anon!
And change the oil!
oh shit wrong boardplease move to /vr/ janny!
>>3840210Why? Gran Turismo is an RPG. You get in a car, you grind, improve its stats, and finally win the final championship with your starting shitbox after leveling it up to LV99.
>>3840212most importantly you play a role of a amateur racist on your way to international licenses
This thread is now about My Summer Car, Finnish permadeath survival car-building RPG
>Racing Lagoon is a 1999 video game that combines street racing with role-playing elements. Is it any good?
>>3841073The music is really good, so I'd give it a shot.
>day 4 of a racing game thread not being deleted on vrpglmao
I would classify Vigilante 8 2nd offense as RPG>stat upgrades >equipment scattered across the map>optional objectives like collecting items or blowing up buildings>character/story progression with multiple endings

>>3842956It's also a great fucking game.
>>3840208Get that piece of shit out of here. I haven't seen this piece of shit in 20 years. You just buy that with your starting cash kid? Good game <3

I miss my PS2...
Played Gran Tourismo 2 on my PS1 recently, and you know what? It's still fun. Give me a car wash that does nothing and a funky soundtrack and that's all, don't need dem realizms them kids are so crazy about.
>over day 10 of a racing game thread on vrpglol
>>3846173What can we say? the jury has spoken out. Gran Turismo is an RPG.
>>3846177CaRPG
>>3840208>>3840209soulful (unlike gt4)
Everyone probably already knows this, but...In GT3 when you get a new car, if you do an oil change before ever using the car it gives that car a small but worthwhile (5%?) horsepower increase. It's clearly RPG party management.
>>3846459And here's something most probably don't know about GT4 but car mileage has effect on engine power output. After set amount of miles I think 5000 or so you slowly start dropping power until the engine permanently loses about 5% of its original power. And due to how calculations work even if you change oil on a used car you will get about 99% of original car HP.If you want to get all the horses out of your car make sure to buy cars brand new then with oil change you will get 105% of rated power which is maximum.
>>3846504It happens also in GT3, but the mileage the engine starts to lose power at is 300 miles I think
>>3846504My trucks at barely 5,000 miles and I’ve changed the oil three times, first one at 500 miles. Feels good man.
>>3846527300 mile mark is where the oil power boost runs out and it's separate from engine wear and not permanent.
>>3840208>dat feel when need to touch up dings and scratches from public parking
Dammit
>>3841073I played through it this summer. I had fun with it. I found the controls a bit finicky though.
It always bothered me that the oil was black as fuck after an endurance race
>>3840208Not an rpg.
This thread still hasn't been moved kek
>>3840208Gran turismo and many racing games are unironically arpgs only instead of a character you have a car
>>3851193>He doesn't play turn based racing playing games
