Minor nitpicks really, whether you consider 3 or 4 to be the peak of the series is a matter of personal preference. >>3843618Breath of Fire II was just great for the story and how much it improved on the first game. I have such fond memories of it but III and IV are also amazing. I want to see all four get love, full remakes, staying turn-based, added masters, dragon genes in III, different Shaman combos in II, maybe a way to recruit Teepo in III, end-game with hard dungeons and superboss fights.

>>3843679That's good though. It was simple and effective and can be built upon. The artwork was beautiful and it has so much damned potential. You fuse characters with the hero even in the first game, that's not basic. It's awesome.

>>3843293Nina wasn't THAT bad was she? Magic does plenty of damage for a normal playthrough. Unless you were planning to beat Berserkr and Archmage (and who even does this more than once) Breath of Fire 3 was far from being difficult enough to warrant minmaxing. Just give her Mind Sword and some support abilities from skill ink and she's a fine party member all the way up to Deis.
