Did anyone play this at all or is it just me?
Played and finished it for all 3 characters. Despite at times awesome visuals and narrative ideas, it's a very barebones diabloid.
>>3847262Yeah I remember it being a really short, very linear experience. A lot more 'corridor' heavy than Diablo's slightly wider maps. I only played as the human guy, long, long ago. It was a very cool and atmospheric game, great narrative design but I gotta say I don't remember the story either. You're on a fuckhuge, supremely gigantic spaceship essentially fighting a very, very tiny war against one overlord?
>>3847274>You're on a fuckhuge, supremely gigantic spaceship essentially fighting a very, very tiny war against one overlord? No, you're just trying to survive at first, then discover a habitable planet and prepare to escape Harbinger by making living there possible (preventing insect invasion and seeking the bio-reproduction technology) with Smiley's help. After that's done, you're discovered by silverbacks (Emperor's elite killsquad) and fail to evacuate Vic in time. Enraged, you storm the Harbinger's Navigation Sector/ Emperor's Throne Room and defeat the Emperor. I don't remember if the final boss changes or not though, I think it does cause I remember fighting Human while playing as Alien...
I wish someone would make a sci-fi diablo that doesn't suck for once
>>3847386"Restricted Area" doesn't suck. It's got enough fun builds, several story variation for each character (there are two parallel stories - Agent/Psychic and Yakuza/Hacker), neat custom weapon feature that requires only cash with no RNG involved and really cool soundtrack (there are actually two - one is more energetic, the other is more melancholic, you can change those in options menu). There is zero reason to replay with the same character on NG+, though.
>>3847394I played that. I remember not finding it enjoyable, though I don't remember why.
