What are some games that have been remade in other games or engines? I'll name some I can think of:

>BG1 in NWN2
>Icewind Dale in NWN2
>Ultima IV in NWN1 (Two versions)
>Ultima V in Dungeon Siege
>Ultima VI in Dungeon Siege
>Morrowind in Oblivion
>Morrowind in Skyrim

Any games you'd wanna see remade in a totally different engine?

Wasn't F1 remade in New Vegas engine? I remember F2 being done in in F3 too (or was it just Frank Horrigan boss battle?).

As for what what game to remake in different engine, I'd wish for Eschalon Books remade in the engine of Risen. Both are built around heavy exploration, with neat side-areas overlapping into main locations through obscure passages. Besides, Eschalon could use a lot of trimming to its skills, like making "cartography" a single-point skill trained through sextant quest for 100 gold or making "Skullduggery" and "Pick locks" one skill.

You can add BG2 in NWN2 as well as Pools of Radiance.

>BG1 in NWN2
>Icewind Dale in NWN2
Funny, the other way around is a thing, too. AFAIK nwn 1 and iwd is playable in a bg campaign.

Full bg2? How long did it take them?

>Any games you'd wanna see remade in a totally different engine?
Yeah. All of them in Morrowind's engine with optional openMW support.

IWD prologue to ToEE engine conversion exists

It does? That's sick.
Is it an abandoned project or are there plans to port the whole game?

>Oblivion in Unreal
Holy BASED, I loved Unreal, when does the mod come out

maybe you should read the OP before making a fool out of yourself with your weak attempt at "humor"

The post you're replying to is distinguishing between the "Unreal engine 5" and the "Unreal engine", not between the game "Unreal" and its eponymous "Unreal engine", retard-san. First read, then comprehend, and only then, post.
>>
>>3854057
it's more stupid that way
Unreal is the engine, when someone says unreal they mean the latest version.
If you mean an earlier version then you need to specify.
Notice how the website is called
https://www.unrealengine.com

and not unreal engine5.com
if you want to search for unreal engine 1 you have to specify it in your search parameters

>are there plans to port the whole game
no news since 2018, so unlikely
>>
>>3854122
Well, that sucks.
>>
>>3851704
>>BG1 in NWN2
>>Icewind Dale in NWN2
But why. NWN engine is fucking dogshit snd objectively inferior to infinity engine. Literally the only thing it has going for it is that it's 3d so you can rotate the camera.

>Why would modders remake a game in an engine that is hand tailored for mods and completely streamlined the process
That's a real thinker there.
