The latest Revenge plot I played even ended with the character reuniting with his lost daughter because he didn't give up on his revenge when others told him to do so.

In FF4 everyone comes back to life except Telah. A life lost to save others was a fruitful life, a life lost for revenge was a wasted life.
The worst case of "Revenge bad" is The Last of Us 2 because for 99% of the game it was "REVENGE GOOD" until after the final battle where the MC decides to spare the person they wanted to kill THE ENTIRE GAME
