The newest rework for poma is a mixed bag, that I think made a lot of things worse while improving only a number of things. The continued weakening of the trash tier annoys me personally as I personally enjoyed forcing my way though it. doubling the point cost while also halving the talents makes me fairly certain that you can't beat the game on it now. The gutting of talents and removal of perks has heavily homogenized builds, while nothing of substance was added to replace them. The majority of the talents are extremely weak, and lack much if any impact. A +3 to most stats simply doesn't have enough of an impact. Even with the compression of the stats you're never off by just 3 points. Talisman abuser has been nerfed yet again with how talismans now only give you one(1) stat point each, and iron will still only matters if you're going body. The only talents that make a difference are phoenix heart, regeneration, dao eyes, pristine meridians, martial Sovereign, and haggling. I went Regeneration/dao eyes on normal for my run and I found that regeneration has been significantly improved, and it feels like the normal healing throughout has been significantly reduced. There were parts where I had to spend 10k to heal even with the phoenix tattoo. The first section of the game now starves you for exp even more then it did before. Pills have been nerfed across the board, and the captivating beauty trait has been nerfed into the ground. Inversely the second part of the game practically drowns you in qi in spite of the story. Numbers in general seem to be rather strange now, with stat checks feeling either too low or too high. The same thing is apparent with the numbers in the refining mechanic. Which forces you spend even more time menuing then you would before. Just make the best value for refining the more expensive robes Nicky. There's too many checks costing 100+ to be reasonable, and that not even taking into account qi power and how there's a number of checks you simply can't beat when they appear normally. Crits are also almost exclusively for strength or agility and seemingly only have 2 checks despite the 3 marks displayed by them. Overall the update is a 4/10.

>>3865650Clearing the debt is almost impossible unless you do the secret mission in guns, you can technically get rid of it if you are from the north but you need to know exactly what to do to get enough money, there's also the traitor path but that requires going to the capital.The estate path itself is mostly easier and less dangerous than the capital if you export a suboptimal character but you can get an extremely successful estate with a great project underway that has room to be relevant in Wars and knighting Renard will definitely come back to help you when you need his support for the war. But yes, the capital is better for the most part.

You'd think the apocalypse would change them over time, but you can count on one hand the ones who appear to have grown. Maybe trimming a few dozen characters would give the rest more development. Either way, it seems to be shaping up well with the current pace. I was going for part 4, but sadly when I reached it a few days ago, the author had pulled the beta from COG. Hope to try it in february

I personally enjoy what the new poma update did, even if it's still messed up number wise in certain events and the scaling becoming unbearable later on, but that final fight was absolutely retarded on mortal difficulty. The checks were all over the place with some reasonable while others unacceptable, but the worst is how absurdly long that fight is while also constantly crippling you the longer it goes while throwing even more fuck you events the closer it is to the finish. At some point you will invariably either run out of Qi, talisman usages or healing sources. Am I missing some obvious way to win that doesn't involve cheating or going demon? I know there are s lot of variables depending on your choices but I would think they at least throw you at the hard part.

And for the man who can change your blood chemistry, he needs the war numbers high! 70 Approval, above 65 Warrior, one flirt at enemy base which only triggers if the approval is higher than 65There are other ways to win the two duels, but they either require hard number crunching or, yet again, a mech better than Picton.
