It helps that they are all very distinct (all by the same band, who only work on IE stuff) and unique to the series, so they actually feel like part of the soundtrack rather than some random jpop/jrock that the producers wanted to promote
first play session, 10 hours. holy, don't think ive done that with a new game since i was a kid.there's a lot of shit that kind of frustrates me but for sure a chunk of that is gitgud territory. the guidebook in game was quite enlightening as the story is so slooow to actually teach you match mechanics (very fun story though), whilst chronicle is better for jumping in, building a team, and getting more full match experience. mostly i dunno a good approach with focus battles both def and offence, spending resources, and i can't open defences up very well. maybe i should just be shooting more even though defenders just to get chip damage in, instead of going for dodgy crosses in congested areas and losing possession. the CPU always seems to blow through me with dribble focus skills whilst i never have them when i need them. (do they even "spend" tension or just need it to be usable? i couldn't really tell - skills have pips but tenacity is just a 0-100% bar so it still makes no sense to me)
im glad i waited before buying it i keep on seeing posts about softlocking bugs ill just play something else until level 5 fixes it (if they do lmao)

I’m from the US so I actually hacked my 3ds to play the UK-localized Inazuma Eleven games way back when. I watched some of the anime but I don’t remember a ton about it. Nathan was probably my favorite, Shawn was cool too even with the Geordie accent the UK dub gave him, and who can forget David Samford and his penguins. I remember playing the first game nonstop and even doing challenge runs of it. Probably won’t get VR because I’m not as into the series anymore and I’m not really a fan of Level-5’s use of generative AI but I’ve heard good things about it so I’m happy for the fans.
