one has to wonder why Bethesda, or indeed any RPG publisher, doesn't push/endorse/officially release fan-made games like these. there are plenty people who don't mind poor graphics or re-used assets, certainly enough to justify the cost of production. just have Larian hire a bunch of dorks and give them enough resources to finally make Baldur's Gate 3
though I suppose Bethesda is already doing that, to some degree, with the creation club stuff. only, to the worse degree they could find

Olympus showed me why it was a good idea actually for radiation to only be in like area in fallout 1.

really? it's honestly not that hard. there's no time limit or anything so you can explore the map and take your time to level up before approaching certain locations and quests. the use of skills is very balanced - there are plenty of uses for every skill which reward you with experience, loot, and access to quests, people, or locations. it's definitely harder than fallout 1 because they removed the rng element from most skills and there is considerably less "free" loot to find or steal from npcs. but with some save scummuing and proactive exploration you shouldn't have a lot of problems

Sonora with Dayglow felt like the perfect amount of stuff to do for a classic Fallout playthrough. FO1 was too short, and FO2/Nevada were too long and their settlements too disjointed.

It's good, but it doesn't do a good job of establishing interesting towns like the originals. They're built much more realistically in his games which I think is a genuine detriment.

I would think total conversion mods aren't really for people who wouldn't touch the original, it kinda misses the point

I would assume the point is to be its own game in a mod form that just uses another game as its building point.
I want to like a lot of these and rom hacks which have tons of love and passion poured into them but the issue is that they are made by people who non stop played the originals usually making them annoyingly difficult in comparison to the source forgetting that 99% of people are not them.
Im just saying if you want people to actually see your work, you can’t do half of the shit people do in these things.
The one i got the furthest in was Olympus 2207 enjoying its intro quite a hit until i left the first area and suddenly radiation was everywhere
I rather just go play something else, and if fallout 1/2 had that much radiation everyone would have said the same to those games 25 years ago
