Recently I played through KOTOR 1 and 2. While I have minor gripes about those games for small odds and ends I genuinely loved the stories despite normally disliking most Star Wars shit. I was offhandedly told that SWTOR is a sort of follow up to them. Any truth in that? Would you recommend to anons who liked KOTOR 1/2's story/characters?
>>3869739Some stories are decent, but the problem is entire thing is still packaged into MMORPG format. Might be THE most solo friendly one out there, though.
>>3869752I mean, it originally was supposed to be a full RPG game but then the corpo said to make it an MMO.
>>3869739Just avoid Consular storyline.Inquisitor and Trooper are not amazing, but have some high notes at least
>>3869808Consular storyline is great, you just have a shit taste. All the class stories were amazing in fact,.
>>3869809No and no
>>3869812There is no cure for a shit taste, I am sorry for living as (You)
>>3869816>>3869812Both of you are retards eating Bioware's online slop
>>3869809M-MUH RELICS
>>3869808Jedi Consular story is not that bad, Also Nadia is cuteSith Inquisitor has some funny moments (Overseer Harkun on Korriban and what happens to your master) but the rest is boring filler>>3869739Sith Warrior and Smuggler campagne is great. The expansions "Knights of the Fallen Order and Knights of the Eternal Throne are a bit weird but it came out during a time when the Expanded Universe was when Disney decided to eraze the old Expanded Universe but i think before of the rebranded as "Legends"Lana Beniko is the best girl though
>>3869739Keep in mind you want one month of sub to unlock all the updates/expansions. Also, you might want to enable 2FA for 100 cartel points every month it's turned on.
>>3869739Can't comment on KOTOR side, never played them.SWTOR I like for class stories, especially on the sith side, and the fact that you can play a proper sith, from a sith empire, not fallen to the dark side jedincel or rule of two Banite sith. Also, sith purebloods.Problem is - it's an mmo, with all the problems those have.
>>3869818still saying slop? you are cancer. you dont have a individual opinion you simply follow what you think is the perceived group consensus
>>3869739Some storylines are amazing, but the gameplay is completely braindead, your companion can constantly heal you, so there is nearly no way you can die, even if your 10 levels behind.Enemies are damage sponges and most quests are kill 10 enemies and stuff like that.I have played around half the storylines + most post game content and it was basically grinding through the garbage gameplay to get cool story
>>3869739All three of those games are slop.
>>3870257You take that back. Bioware/Obsidian were making great games pre 2013. Excluding Jade Empire which I'm currently playing and has some rancid ass combat and a shallow narrative.
>>3870259The last good BioWare game was Baldur’s Gate 2The last good Obsidian game was Alpha Protocol
>>3870247>Some storylines are amazing, but the gameplay is completely braindead, your companion can constantly heal you, so there is nearly no way you can die, even if your 10 levels behind.Every MMO seem to undergo this at some point primarily so solo players can access group content. You actually needed other players for elite quests and dungeons in TOR once upon a time.
>>3870263>The last good Obsidian game was Alpha ProtocolAlpha Protocol is a true hidden gem and it's a shame it always gets overshadowed by kotor 2 and fnv in Obsidian threads
>>3870303No game needs a remake more than Alpha Protocol. If they could get that game to actually be fun to play it would be the GOAT.
Isn't SWTOR dead population wise? Only 3k players on Steam
