They gave this game away for free when David Bowie died. It's been in my library for years kek
Can't answer your question because I haven't played it and probably won't ever
>>
>>3879863
Didnt even know bowie was in it. Thats kinda cool. How come you would never play it?
>>

>Didnt even know bowie was in it.
That was its whole gimmick when it came out, "it's the David Bowie game"
>t. didn't play it
>>

It's not really much of an RPG - more of an adventure game with mixed gameplay mechanics. FPS, Fighter, Mech Driving segments. They're all pretty bad, though - it's very much a jack of all trades / master of none situation.
It has a very interesting world and atmosphere. For $1.50 I would recommend it for being a one of kind experience worth trying, but not necessarily finishing. Like all of Cage's games, it shits the bed at a certain point story-wise so just feel to drop it there.

That's Bowie on the cover. He did most of the soundtrack and appears in a mocap concert in-game. It's cool as hell desu

cool artistic vision, terrible execution

I don't think David Cage has ever made a good game.

He's like George Lucas and Vince Russo. He can have great ideas, but you need someone to tard wrangle and filter the stupid stuff.
>Omikron
>Scifi mystery game where you have to find out whomst killed your partner
>Eventually find a conspiracy involving demons
>Woah, that's a pretty sick premise for a game, let's-
>You can also bodyswap
>That's interesting-
>And an isekai
>Also, you can NTR the first person you control

Beyond: Two Souls is highly entertaining when you know where to look. One of The Rooms of video games.

>I am a blind man and she's my eyes
I think I was too young to appreciate this game at the time. but it probably doesn't hold up well, does it?
I only remember you could go around the city and it felt like you could do ANYTHING and go ANYWHERE
of course it's likely much smaller than what it felt like as a kid
I didn't get very far, I kept dying to a confusing boss. or something. it was an fps section. I don't know. weird game

Explain to me how the fuck you put 900 hours into a mediocre game that's like 10 hours long. Did you speedrun it?
>>
>>3881146
It is literally explained both in the review and in the game itself. Omikron traps you (not the character in universe, but you the player) in the game. So I couldn't play another game until I finished it, and because I was trapped in its universe I couldn't use a walk-through, that wouldn't be fair.

Gay. I played it for like 3 hours when Steam gave it to me for free and then never thought about it again
>>

it's a nostalgic favourite of mine, the 3d city was pretty ahead of it's time. but to be fair it throws a few things together like 3d beat em up, FPS sections, and adventure-detective stuff, whilst not doing any of them very well, and it was full of catastrophic bugs.
not sure how it is now maybe there's community patches and stuff.
it's a very unique experience and was really immersive, i have no idea how well it's aged not played for many years.

>Is it good?
No. It's an interesting premise but ultimately half-baked in its execution. The adventure/exploration parts are the best but at the same time Jaunpur has one of the shittiest map designs I've ever seen. There's not much to find either. The adventure elements are broken up with some of the most jank-ass and shitty FPS and fighting game segments ever created with the FPS sections basically being giant mazes where you're never given much of an indication as to what to do or you can get to the end without actually getting to the end because you forgot to step onto the right spot needed to trigger a flag. There's potentially interest plot/setting elements that are never explored or touched on and the entire core premise of the game, the body swap mechanic, doesn't actually matter beyond the couple of times you're forced to use it.

It needs a remake but with Cage only overseeing it. Make it an adventure game, keep the action to a minimum and what action there is should remain third person with quick encounters. Ways to advance should have multiple solutions to give the player an incentive to mess around with different bodies and there should be a lot more to discover and a lot more to engage in which can also depend on what body you're in. It's one of those that would actually benefit from an extensive fan mod/overhaul.
